MEXX began in 1986 when Ratta Chadah decided to merge his men’s brand, Moustache, and his women’s brand, Emanuelle. He believed the companies would be stronger as one entity; he took the first letter of each brand and added two kisses on the end to rename the joint brand Mexx.
